Mrs. Leon Ulrich was in charge of the business meeting. The Society voted to give $lO to the Cancer Society. The program in cluded several vocal selections by Mrs. Barry Noll. Sallyann Breneman, a radio personality, was the featured speaker on the subject of “Bits and Pieces.” Christmas gifts were exchanged during the social hour. The next meeting will be held on January 8 at the Ephrata Museum with Mrs. Leon Ulrich and Rachel Bollinger as hostesses. Lancaster Co, Lancaster County Farm Women Society 6 held their Christmas banquet at ,the Rheems Fire Hall on December 4 at 6 p.m. with 55 members, husbands, friends, and guests present. Special music for the evening was a ladies trio from West Greentree Church of the Brethren. Guest speaker for the day was the Rev. , Leroy Hawthorne, also from West Greentree. His subject was “Giving and Receiving at WASHER/DRYER CHECK OUR LOW LOW PRICE Farm Women Societies Society 1 Society 6 Christmas.” He brought out the fact that often too much money is spent for gifts and not enough given of our selves. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Vera Shonk of Manheim on January 7 at 2 p.m. Lancaster Co. Society 7 Lancaster County Farm Women Society 7 met on November 7 at the home of Mrs. Henry Ebersole, Paradise. The demonstration was on making things from bread dough and was given by Mrs. Donald Irwin. She con structed flowers, animals, jewelry, etc. The December meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. George Arment, Gap, on Saturday, December 11 at 2p.m. Roll call will be “What I left undone to come to this meeting.” The program is “Christ mas Across the Sea,” by an exchange student. Hostesses are Mrs. Edgar Hall, Mrs. John Weaver, and Mrs. Ross Usner. Lancaster Co, Society 12 Lancaster County Farm Women Society 12 met at Shady Maple for their family Christmas party. Thirty seven guests attended. For entertainment, a quartet sang Christmas" music. A short -business meeting was held, and gifts were exchanged.
