Thirteen members from six Kutztown Area FFA chapters par ticipated in the Berks County FFA Field Com and Small Grain Contests held at the Kutztown Area High School on November 16. L One of the activities that was held as part of Cumberland County’s Farm' City Week festivities last week was a banquet in which 15 Carlisle Chamber of Commerce couples hosted 15 farm couples. BE ALERT One study showed that horses fed an all hay ration required 3.6 pounds of water per one pound of dry hay, whereas those fed a com bination of hay and grain required 2.9 pounds of water per pound of ration. It was also found that the "water intake did not correlate with the protein content of the ration, but it did with the ash (mineral matter) and cell wall contents of the ration.
