The awards were presented in recognition of outstanding efforts by FFA chapters to make their communities better places in which to live and work. This year the 'awards were presented to 131 FFA chapters to recognize participation in the FFA Building Our American Communities (BOAC) program. From this area, the Grassland , Nor thern Lebanon, and Conrad Weiser Chapters received the high honor. The BOAC program is sponsored by Lilly En dowment, Inc., Indianapolis, Ind., as a special project of the National FFA Foun dation. Forty-seven chalpters with the most comprehensive community action programs will be presented National Gold Emblem Awards, the top award in the BOAC program. Eighty-four other FFA 'chapters will receive National Silver and Bronze Awards for their efforts in community development. During the Convention one of the forty-seven National Gold Emblem chapters will be selected to receive the National Citation for the best community improvement program in the nation. Four regional winners were selected from among the forty-seven National Gold Emblem Chapters by a regional selection com mittee.
