Carl Diller, and Mrs. Charles
Rohrer.
Roll CalU was answered by
giving a Halloween trick.
On November Bth the
society will have a Bazaar
table at the Farm and Home
Center, Lancaster, with food
and hand crafted items for
sale.
New officers for the
coming year are, Joan
Rohrer, president; Lois
Aument, vice president;
Miriam DeLong, secretary;
and Ann Brown, treasurer.
The program was
domestic and fine arts with
members bringing their
handmade items. Several
demonstrations were given
including bailer twine
wreaths by Joan Rohrer,
macrame’ by Abbie Bradley,
artififical flower wreaths by
Joanne Roth, and crocheted
coat hangers by Virginia
Rineers.
Refreshments were served
by Hazel Auxnent, Alice
Ressel, and Abbie Bradley.
The next meeting will be a
workshop at Stauffers on
November 4.

Society 6
Mrs. Robert Kopfer,
Fleetwood R 2, was the guest
speaker at the October 12
meeting of the Berks County
Society Farm Women,
Group 6. The meeting was
held at the home of Mrs.
Abraham Keller, Oley Rl.
Sixteen members attended

polo shirts to be given to the'
Hamburg State School for
Christmas.
Money for two sheepskins
will be-given to the Berks
Heim for Christmas.
The annual Christmas
dinner will be held at the
Village - Diner, at
Douglassville, on December
3, at 7:30 p.m. ,
The November 16 meeting
will be held at the home of
Mrs. Warren Yoder,
Boyertown, at 8 p.m.

Lancaster County Society
25 met recently at the home
of Mrs. Jack Henderson,
Lancaster R 6 recently.
Eighteen members an
swered the roll call. The
Society sewed cancer pads,
and had a baked goods sale
within the organization. The
next meeting will be held at
the home of Mrs. John Metz,
Conestoga Rl on November
13 at 1:30 p.m.

The Berks County Society
of Farm Women Group 4 met

Mrs. Charlotte Mauger with
15 membersand two guests

The highlight of the
evening was the election of
officers for the next two
years. They mil be installed
at the December meeting by
the Berks County president,
Mrs. Helen Ebling. Elected
were president, Mrs. Jean
Waldo; vice-president, Mrs.
Mauger; secretary, Mrs.
Ruth McMullen, and
treasurer Mrs. Edna
Angstadt.
President Linda Taylor
announced that the group
will be going to Berks Heim
on November 11 to entertain
the patients with bingo. She
also announced that the

president. Society 26 was
entertained at this meeting.
Eleven visitors and 24
members were present.
Guests were introduced by

Margaret Heisey on the
Ways and Means Committee
announced that plans for a
bus trip to Philadelphia in
November would' be can
celled.
Four members sewed at
the General Hospital on
October 7 and helped with
another group. In. all, 500
pieces were sewn and
mended.
