exhibits in the Market Place
lent grew by nearl> 300 per
cent
"I'm really proud of the
exhibits thin year." she said
as she pointed out the well
organized, lovely display of
flowcni. vegetables, canned
goods, and other hor
ticultural exhibits
The amount of outside
stands also grew from
previous years And. this
year, there was a totally new
added extra-an FFA tent In
that tent were two goats, two
sheep, a marc and a colt, a
sow and her litter, two
steers, and a heifer
"We hope to have state
funding in two years,” Mrs
Myers said. If they pass the
state test this year, they will
have only one more year of
state tests to go and funding
will be available. If the
funding does go through, the
Jaycees have hopes of
possbily buying land and
getting some permanent
buildings. At present, they
rent the land from the
Elizabethtown College.
Bill Shuker, president of
the Jaycees, also noted that
the organization would
really like to make the Fair a
community event.
