Closing prices 'on Slaughter Steers and Heifers were mostly weak to 25 cents lower, instances 50 off, some 3-5 1250-1450 lb. Steers 50-1.00 lower. Cows were 50-1.00 higher and Bulls firm to 1.00 higher. Four day receipts 17,600 as compared 13,800 previous week and 18,200 a year ago. Fed Cattle prices ruled steady on a Monday outlay of 7,200 head, but prices weakened later under the pressure arising from liberal Slaughter and lowered carcass quotations. However, demand was generally good except for the several loads 3-51300-1450 lb. Steers which met narrow inquiry. The 26th annual T- Bone Special from the Audubon, lowa area con signed more than 30 loads predominantly Choice Steers and Heifers for sale on Thursday.
