According to the Pennsylvania Crop Reporting Service, placement of broiler chicks in ths commonwealth were 1,637,000. This figure' is 14 percent above the same week a year earlier, but eight percent below the previous week. Average placements during the past ten weeks were 18 percent above a year ago. In the 21 key poultry producing' -states, placements were 68,975,000, about the same as the previous week and 12 per- « cent above the same period in 1975.
