82—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, March 13. 1978 Mont Co. sheep club installs new officers LANSOALE - During a recent meeting of tha Orem Pajturea 4-H Sheep Dob of Montgomery County, held near here at the 4-H Center, an election of officer* was held with the following results: President: Bob Green wood; vice president; Tim Nice; recording secretary: Terry Pappy; corresponding secretary: Julie Miller; and treasurer: Kit Jones. The new officers in turn lit a candle and repeated the responsibilities of the office entrusted to them for the year. New business was a discussion by members for Building awards given Agway, Inc., of Syracuse, New York, and Thomsen Construction and Supply Company of Lawrence, Michigan, were awarded Building of the Year honors by the National Frame Builders Association at the Farm Builder Show in New Orleans. Agway won in the com mercial building category some ideas for planned programs for the coming year. A meeting of the new officers and three other club members met at the home of Warren Landis, Souderlon, dub leader, February 11th, to take these suggestions and plan the programs. Nancy Haentxe showed the group tee shirts that are for sale by the Pennsylvania Junior Hampshire Sheep Association. The profits from the sales go to the association. Varied sizes are available and orders can be taken. Members were urged to try to get other* interested in raising sheep and then Join the 4-H sheep dub. with the construction of Hafner’s Red Barn Country Store in Liverpool, New York. In the agricultural building category, Thomsen Construction and Supply Company built a 40’-9” x 106’ x 8’ swine nursery building for Jim Gilmore Enterprises Farm in Richmond, Michigan. U. of Delaware aska for new agriculture building Two years ago, University of Delaware agricultural sciences administrators were asking themselves whether there would be a college of agriculture in a few years. Today, says Dr. William E. McDaniel, Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, there has been a S« percent growth increase in agricultural students, and the M 2 building is bunting at the seams.
