Secretary Butz said the increased supervision will be carried out by employees of the grain division of AMS, the agency responsible for administering the grain inspection system established under the U.S. Grain Standards Act. By adjusting individual work schedules of the em ployees assigned to the grain division’s 32 field offices across the country, federal supervision may be provided at night and on week-ends as well as during the regular 40- hour work week. AMS officials are hiring and the Common Market countries will be made. In his letter, Kerstetter noted that in recent years large imports of subsidized dairy products from Europe undermined dairy prices at home, driving many dairy fanners out of business. Kerstetter noted that the trend in recent trade agreements seems to be one of sacrificing the American dairy industry for the sake of our selling other com modities overseas. “Dairying is one of our nation’s great agricultural industries, doing an annual business of $22 billion,” Kerstetter wrote. “Certainly,” he continued, Wolgemuth, Rentzel, Anderson Upperman, Martin Auctioneers Harshman, Eberly, Gossert, ull, Rentzel clerks PUBLIC SALE OF FARM EQUIPMENT Located six miles south of Chambersburg, Pa., one mile East of Marion, just East of Marion Exit off Rte. 81 along Rte. 914 on THURSDAYrFE^ Saleat9:3oA.M. 60 TRACTORS - IND.
