Topping Mix lightly 4 eggs and 2 cups sugar. Fold in 4 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 6 tablespoons lemon juice. Pour over crust and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. XXX Walnut Chiffon Cake 2 cups sifted cake flour I 1? cups sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt ‘-2 cup oil 3 .4 cup cold water 1 teaspoon walnut flavoring cup chopped walnuts 7 unbeaten egg yolks 7 egg whites teaspoon cream of tarter Combine cake flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add oil and unbeaten egg yolks along with the water and flavoring. Beat well. Beat egg whites very stiff, add cream of.-tarter, fold into the egg yolk mix ture. Add the walnuts. XXX Two-Tone Fudge 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup evaporated milk cup butter I 5-ounce jar marshmallow cream 1 teaspoon vanilla 1-6 ounce package but- terscotch morsels 1 - 6 ounce package chocolate morsels 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts Combine the sugars, milk Boil 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add marshmallow cream and vanilla. Stir until smooth. To 2 cups of the hot mixture add butterscotch morsels and 4 cup nuts. Stir until morsels are melted. Pour into a greased pan. To the remaining mixture add chocolate morsels and 4 cup nuts. Stir until morsels are melted. Pour evenly over butterscotch mixture in pan. Chill until firm. Measure buttermilk then add soda. Stir till dissolved. Pour to dry ingredients. Last add flavoring and butter or oleo. Stir till well mixed, dough should be fairly thick. Put dough on a cookie sheet and pat to Mi inch thick in a circle. Pinch the edge all around and prick with a fork all over. Chill Mt hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes then reduce to 300 degrees and bake for 45 minutes longer. It should be pale gold when done, not brown. Cut in wedges or break off pieces to eat. Shape each half into a roll about an inch in diameter. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Can keep in refrigerator 2 weeks in wax paper.
