For 19 yean the annual
Trl—County Relief Sale haa
been held at the same aite in
Morgantown, the Junction of
Routes 10 and 23. Each year
greater crowds have come
from farther and farteer
distance*. Difficulties have
arisen from the press of the
crowds, and parking haa
become a mammoth
problem.
The Relief Sale board,
meeting recently to iron out
some of these problems in
• planning for the 1976 sale,
concluded that the sale has
outgrown the Morgantown
site. Consequently, it has
been decided to hold nett
year’s sale at the Farm Show
building in Harrisburg.
Pennsylvania Governor
Milton Shapp attended the
1975 sale, and has extended a
welcome to the Harrisburg
site. With his cooperation,
the change has been
facilitated. While the date
has not yet been selected the
sale is planned for the
Spring. Readers are asked
to watch for this an
nouncemtnt.
The annual one-day sale
is sponsored by the Tri-
President Grace Bizler
reported on the program of
the County Convention held
Nov. Ist at Lancaster when 14
of our number attended. Vice
president Mrs. Kathryn
Heisey, Mrs. Kathryn Erb,
and Miss Ruth Eby will
represent our society at the
State Convention, Jan. 5-6,
1976.
Our next meeting will be
held at the home of Mrs.
Vera Frey on Dec. 13th in
stead of Dec. 6tb, at 6:30
P.M. This will be a covered
dish supper when husbands
are special guests. Each
member is requested to
bring a hot and a cold dish
and necessary place
settings. Turkey and
beverages will be provided
by the hostesses.
