The new requirements on the two diseases became effective Oct. 27. Examining veterinarians wiU also have to certify that to the best of their knowledge neither anaplasmosis nor bluetounge has existed in the herd for two years before export to Canada. Exported animals must be shown free of anaplasmosis by a negative complement fixation test within 30 days before export. Freedom from bluetounge must be shown by two such tests - the first one being made not less than 30 days nor more than 90 days before export, and the second within 30 days.
