He presented a check to the fair association and community to pay for a large portion of the coats of the main exhibit hall. The shell of the building was dedicated to the memory of his late wife, Sara Fuhrman Hoffman. The buildings had been formally opened last Sunday during open house ceremonies with more than 200 people in attendance. In remarks made during the open house ceremony and again during the dedication, special recognition and notes of appreciation were given to: John Hoffman and the members of the building committee - Ken Rutt, L. Ben Wenger, William Fredd, Carlton Groff, Sam Kreider, Mrs. Henry Rohrer, Don Trimble, Jason Weaver, and Mrs. Allen Kreider. The services of the following businessmen were acknowledged: Contractor; Paul Risk Associates; Plumbing: Frank Connor; Electrician: Roy Glackin; Heating: Leon Landis; Grading: Robert Peters; Backhoe: Donald Evans; Painting: Russell Lloyd; Building Materials: Walter Hassel and Sons; G.R. Don Trimble commented that the new livestock bam was built in three days, largely by volunteers, and figured that illustrated how well the community cooperated in seeing the buildings become reality.
