HOOVER Oregon Pike RDl.Leola, PA 17540 656-1020 Manufacturers of Kafstals Veal Stalls Last fall, when I heard the news from the midwest that supplies of seed corn were going to be short, I knew prices would start climbing I asked my Stanford dealer about it and he told me that the smartest thing for me to do was to order my NK corn early He told me that the people at Stanford shared my concern about higher prices and they did something about it They authorized my dealer to give me price protection on my early NK order That meant that if the price of seed corn went up, I would pay the lower early-order price That sounded (ike more than a fair deal to me, so I ordered early And you know what 7 The price went up later, saving me $2 50 a bag That’s one of the reasons I’m going back to my Stanford-NK dealer now Another reason is the big yield poten tial of Northrup-Kmg hybrids NK corn took more than 80 first-place N C G A state championships in the last six years reserve grand champion of the Holstein breed. David's Junior yearling heifer won a red ribbon and was named Master Fitter and Master Showman. Carl's four year old Holstein cow won first place, and his five year old cow won a second place award. In the Holstein breed, Edwin Bruner won a third place blue ribbon. Others placing in the Holstein class were George Tkaczuk, Edwin Mast, and Lane Keen Jr., who won red ribbons and a white ribbon respectively. In the Ayrshire show, Eugene Kulp’s three year old cow won a third place and a blue ribbon. Edwin Kulp’s senior calf won a second place and a blue ribbon. In the Brown Swiss show, Robert Nolan’s Senior yearling won a second place and a blue ribbon. Robert’s Senior calf won a second place blue ribbon. James Seacrist’s junior calf won a third place blue ribbon. The following students won the coveted Master Fitter and Master Showman awards: David Nolan, Robert Nolan, Edwin Kulp, and Carl Yoder. A Master Fitter ribbon was awarded to Eugene Kulp and a Master To me, that’s convincing proof that NK hybrids are exactly what we need to get those high-profit yields from our corn acreage My choice this year is NK's PX76 the next great hybrid for my area For two years it has been the most consistent high yielder in NK trials across the mid- Atlantic region You might need a mid season corn on y ourfarm, likePX SOAfor gram or silage or PX 20, an early corn with excellent standability early spring vigor and fast dry-down On top of a high-yielding NK corn hy brid, the kind of help I need now is in straight cash savings So I’m ordering my NK corn early again this time to cash in on Stanford’s big new early-order, early-pay discount deal I like doing business with people who are always there with the kind of help I can really use That’s why I’m staying with my Stanford dealer and NK corn Showman ribbon waa awarded to James Seacrist. All the animals winning a blue ribbon arc now eligible to be entered in the Penn* sylvania All American Dairy Show in Harrisburg on September 22, 1975.
