Those chosen to attend the Institute are: Randy RanCk, Quarryville R 2; Donald Hershey, Paradise Rl; LaVem Martin, East Earl Rl; Dale Burkhart, Denver Rl; and Cynthia Erb, Mount Joy Rl. Winners were selected on the basis of their knowledge of the business, and on ac tivities of the participants identifying them with school, community, church, and youth organizations. These young leaders will be accompanied to Ship pensburg by Jay W. Irwin, Associate County Agent and Carl GraybiU, Teacher of Agriculture, who will act as chaperone and resource persons for the delegation. The Insitute program is designed to teach youth more about the business enterprise system in the United States, to help them m planning their future by pointing out career possibilities in agribusiness, and provide opportunities for individual leadership development. Approximately 250 young adults, representing the best of over 4,000 participants in the annual P.A.F.C. youth education program, will attend the four-day event. The Institute is a joint effort of the Pennsylvania Association of Farmer Cooperatives, local Co-op Councils, and the College of Agriculture of The Penn sylvania State University. A total of 85 local boys and girls took part in this year’s cooperative program sponsored by the Lancaster Co-op Council Submitted by JayW.
