Bulls Tops Maryland Test Beechdale Farms’, of Bird-In-Hand, Pa„ sole entry in the recently completed 140-day Maryland Official Bull Test Program led all other bulls of all breeds in weight per day of age at completion of the bull test. The bull, Beechdale’s Galavant, a 7 /« Simmental yearling, had a weight per day of age of 3.64 and an adjusted 365-day weight of 1366 lbs. Beechdale Farms, owned by Dr. Thomas D. Conrad, is one of the leading Simmental cow-calf operations in the United States and the largest in the State of Pennsylvania. Last year, Conrad had the highest indexing bull in the Penn State Bull Test Program - a % Simmental.
