Farm Women Society 6
met March 1 at the home of
Margaret Haines. Esther
Frey and Katie Brandt were
co-hostesses.
The meeting opened with
group singing and devotions
by Miss Haines. She read a
poem about childhood
memories of springtime and
Pslams 123. Members
responded to roll call by
giving an Easter Bible verse.
Reports were given of the
food stand at the sale of
Rhoda Risser, and plans for
the sale of Mae Gantz on
April 12. The State Farm

persistence, and pride.
The bus is not yet full for
the trip to the Meyersdale
Maple Festival on March 22.

met at the home of Mrs.
Williom Kinzer on Feb. 8.
Devotions were led by Mrs.
Samuel Wenger. It was
announced that the county
project for the year will be to
buy a piano for the Farm and
Home Center.
Mr. Jack Loose of the
Uncastcr Historical Society
showed slides of Lancaster
city and county dating from
1802 to the present time.
Hostesses for the meeting
were Mrs. Ira Mast, Mrs.
Paul Skiles, Mrs. Charles
Rohrer and Mrs. Samuel

Church in Paradise on
March 8 at 1:00 p.m. A

charge of Hattie Long.
Roll call was answered
with the name of a favorite
historian. The committees
gave their reports. The
members are making lap
covers and pillows for the
Conestoga View and plan for
a day of sewing at the

Nineteen members and
their husbands were present
at a covered dish and game
night. Roll call was “How
you met your husband."
The ways and means
committee announced the
spring rummage sale will be
April 8, at Bareville Fire Co.
from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Society 7 has invited the
ladies of Society 24 to a
luncheon at 1 p.m. March 8,
at the Leacock Presbyterian
Church. All members are
urged to attend.
The next regular meeting
will be March 26, at the home
of Mrs. Jacob Garber, New
Holland. The Program will
be on safety.

Mrs. Michael Grove of

Landis. Co-hostess was Mrs.
Richard Hess. Devotions
were in charge of Mrs. J.
Robert Hess. Program for
the evening was first-aid
instructions presented by
Mr. Lloyd McCurdy.
The group voted to support
Good Will Industries as a
county project. Society
members will entertain
guests at Conestoga View
March 20.
The next meeting will be
held March 27, at the home of
Mrs. Gordon Mellinger, 20
