Wheat totaled 8.7 million bushels, up 35 percent from a year earlier. On-farm stocks totaled 3.2 million bushels compared with 1.5 million a year earlier. Off-farm stocks at 5.6 million bushels were up 46 percent from a year earlier. Corn in all storage positions on January 1, 1975 totaled 67.6 million bushels, up 8 percent from a year earlier. Barley stored in all positions on January 1, 1975 totaled 3.5 million bushels, up 24 percent from a year earlier. On-farm stocks were up 21 percent and off-farm stocks were 54 percent above a year earlier. Oats stored in all positions on January 1, 1975 totaled 12.4 million bushels, up 15 percent from a year earlier. On-farm stocks were up 14 percent, and off-farm stocks were up 33 percent above a year earlier. Nationally, wheat stocks were 19 percent above a year earlier, but stocks of the four feed grains (corn, oats, barlye and sorghum) were 22 percent below January 1, 1974 holdings.
