House Honors
Darvin Boyd
Darvin E. Boyd, has been
honored by the Pennsylvania
House of Representatives for
his work over the past two
years as executive director
of the House Committee on
Health and Welfare.
Boyd is the son of Elmer
Boyd, Ephrata Rl, and a
former 4-H’er and par
ticipated in the International
Farm Youth Exchange
program. From 1966 to 1972,
he was 4-H program director
for the American-Korean
Foundation in Seoul, Korea.
He is a graduate of Delaware

valuable contributions to the
General Assembly and the
Commonwealth by his ef
forts in procuring the
assistance of the United
States Commissioner of
Welfare in reviewing the
statutes, regulations, and
procedures of Penn
sylvania’s Public Assistance
Program; in researching,
developing and assisting the
passage of welfare reform
legislation and in informing
the House of important
issues and matters involving
the Commonwealth’s Public
Assistance Program. He has
significantly contributed to
the improvement of health
and welfare matters in the
Commonwealth.”
Recent polls reveal that 83%
