ROS, York completed a 305 day record of 21,029 at a 4.8 percent test for a total of 1,012 pounds of fat. Second high lactation was completed by Jewel, a 4 year old Registered Holstein owned by Sinking Spring Farms Inc., RD6, York. In 305 days Jewel produced 23,186 pounds of milk at a 4.0 test for 931 pounds of fat. The herd of David Stewart, RD2, Delta, bad the highest daily butterfat average. The herd of 54 registered Holstein cows averaged S 3 pounds of milk, and 2.08 pounds of fat at a 3.9 percent test. Sinking Springs Farm was second high with 54.1 pounds of milk and 2.02 pounds of butterfat daily with a 3.7 percent test on 64 cows.
