Following graduation from college, Golden supervised DHIA work in Cecil County, Maryland. One year later he was employed by Southern States Cooperative and for a five-yeax; period managed Southern States stores. Golden was moved to Warehouse Management in Baltimore for another five years and assisted in the opening of a wholesale supply warehouse in Clarksburg, W.V.
