The 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nolt steered his way through the intricate course 'to beat Dudley Rohrer, 17, Manheim RD7, by a slim margin. The winner is to represent Lancaster County at the State 4-H Days at Penn State next month Nolt, however, declmed to make the journey leaving Rohrer to represent the county. Jay Irwin, assistant county agent, noted that both boys “did an excellent job handling the tractors” Rohrer is the son of Mr and Mrs Daniel Rohrer Third place in the contest was taken by John Cramer, 15, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Cramer, Denver RD2 The winner of the junior division was Earl Moyer, 14, son of Mr and Mrs Lloyd Moyer, Manheim RDI The contest was judged by Charles Ackley, vo-ag in structor at Ephrata High School, and John Rhineer, sales representative for Landis Bros Farm Equipment TURN ONS D/D YOU SEE ANY POVERTY ON YOUR WORLD cruise? The 2nd Monthly Feeder Pig Sale held at the Lan caster Stockyards was termed a grand success. There were 1143 head pigs sold. Prices advanced well above those at the previous sale reflecting the stronger hog market. A top of 69.50 cwt was registered for 31 lb. pigs.
