IMPORTANT NOTICE
ON JULY 2, BEGINNING AT 1 P.M.,
THE SECOND FEEDER PIG SALE WILL BE HELD
AT THE LANCASTER STOCKYARDS.
All pigs consigned to the sale must arrive that day between 7 A.M. and 11 A.M., at which
time they will be state inspected for health, state graded and sorted and then weighed
and penned. Trucks bringing pigs from out of the state must be disinfected and all pigs
bought at the sale must be loaded out not later than midnight, July 2.
Since all pigs must be tagged it is suggested that the consignors tag their pigs at the
farm, thereby saving 25 cents per pig expense. Tags for this purpose can be picked up at
Dunlap’s office.
We respectfully solicit your consignments which will be handled by a staff of ex

Report
SUMMARY FOR MAY, 1974
There were approximately 910 dairy replacement cattle
reported on of which an estimated 850 head were native
(Pennsylvania) and 60 head were imported. This compared
with a total of 500 head for April, 1974.
Compared with the April, 1974 report, the market was
moderate to active, mostly active. Cows were mostly $5O to
$l5O lower. Heifers were mostly steady to mostly $5O lower,
REPORTER COMMENTS:
Demand slow for fresh cows, due to financial troubles of
some dairies.
