The attending members

Contest and awards play
an Important part on Vo-Ag
Education. Contest are a
means to motivate
and develop their individual'
abilities. The contests have
the effect of measuring the
practical agricultural
abilities of each student end
are related to their school
instruction. Also, the con
tests provide opportunities
for learning facts, thinking,
building, interest and at
titudes in addition to
developing skills, problems
solving, and self confident.
The are many contests a
student can enter throughout
the year which should
stimulate his interest on the
local and district levels.
Generally those students
who do well on the locaHevel
go on to the state contest held
during FFA Activities’s
Week. The top students in
each contest on the state
level will represent Penn
sylvania at the national or
regional level contest.

Keep Your Cool
On a hot night, keep your cool

out of the refrigerator and go
right on the grill. Cut cooking
time by choosing already cooked
sausages and heat to increase ap
petite appeal.
For being so patient, nothing worthwhile ever comes easy but
we are making good progress. Sylvia is settled in her pretty
new office. John has been .working day and night and has his
parts room pretty well in order, so that he can now give you
that good friendly service you are used to. Jay and John are
nursing their aching backs but they're on the job and ready to
help you solve all your equipment problems. Leonard says the
shop still looks a sight. But he is able to take care of all your
service problems. So everything is up and going at Lancaster
Ford, The Home of the Friendly People.
