Receipt of approval of the merger by the Federal Home Loan Bank board was an nounced jointly by George B. Gaul, president of Wyomissing Federal Savings, and Marlin G. Rachel, Provident Federal president. Gaul stated that the single institution will be the largest savings association in Berks County with assets of ap proximately $9O million.
