Headed by two volunteers the committee chairmen are Fred R. Bahrenburg of Sperry New Holland and Robert R. Pebly of Educators Mutual Insurance Company. In order to determine fairly the financial needs of each service through an evaluation of its program and its effectiveness, the committee has been divided into three Divisions. Walter J. Kissel of Raybestos-Manhattan in Manheim is chairman of the Health Maintenance & Care Services Division which includes the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center, Alchoholism and Drug Abuse Council, Hearing Center and Visiting Nurse Association. The members are: Ned Gardner of Servomation; Alf F. Johnson, Fuller Company in Manheim; W. J. Johnson, Howmet Corp.; Charles J. McConnell of Armstrong Cork Company; Mrs. J. T. Miller of F & M College; John W. Snead of Sperry New Holland; Mrs. H. G. McCarty and Mrs. Silas Thompson of Lancaster. The Individual and Family Life Services Division is in two Sections with George E. McCreery of Mac-It Com pany heading Section A. The services included here are Family and Children’s Service, Lancaster Day Eighteen northern Lancaster County dairymen were honored for having high producing herds this past year at the tenth annual District 4 Meeting for Atlantic Breeders Cooperative members held recently at the Blue Ball Fire Hall. Receiving Certificates of Merit for having top Dairy Herd Improvement Association averages were left to right: David L Landis, Clyde W. Martin, Donald S. Eby, Albert E. Fry, Earl N. Landis, Galen W. All herds were at least 15 per cent above the state average for butterfat last year, while at least two-thirds of the cows in these herds are progeny of Atlantic sires.
