Each person is asked to bring their own place setting and one for a guest. Mrs. Melvin Lauver, Akron, will speak on the topic “Crafts”. Mrs. Roy Brubaker will present the devotions. Hostesses will be Mrs. Joseph Russel, Mrs. Howard Swarr, Mrs. Guy Reidenbaugh and Mrs. C. H. Nissley. Society 6 Farm Women Society 6 met Saturday, March 2 at the home of Mrs. Emory Wolgemuth, with the president, Mrs. Anna Geyer, presiding. During the meeting the group spent several periods in singing under the leadership of a guest, Mrs. Roy Forney. Devotions were led by Mrs. Esther Frey who led the thinking about the seasons, with special em phasis on spring. Twenty five members responded to the roll call by telling either about a winter experience or a favorite pet. There were five visitors present. Anyone who can is invited to make bed pads at the home of Mrs. Harry Shonk at 9 o’clock on March 26. Bring lunch if you can stay for the day. The society will serve a dinner at Wyeth Laboratories in Marietta on April 17. The Spring Rally for the state is to be held at Memorial Hall, at the York Fair Grounds on May 8. The birthday party for about 30 persons will be held at the State Hospital in Harrisburg on August 20. The J. C. camp for retarded children was chosen as the county project for the year. Donations were also voted for Easter Seals, Cerebral Palsy, and an in dividual family. Due to the funeral of a charter member, Stella Coble, the February meeting was cancelled so the reports of the state convention were given at this meeting by Mrs. Milton Eberly and Mrs. Harry Shonk. The program was a “show and tell” with members bringing their hobbies. Those shown were latch-key rug making, embroidery, quilting, oil painting, hair pin lace, crochet, egg carton waste baskets, covered hangers, broomstick lace, knitting, and sewing. Society 22 will entertain Society 7 on March 12 at 1 p.m. William Diaz, PU ex change student, showed slides from his home, Columbia, S.A. The next meeting will be March 9 at 1 p.m., en tertaining Society 23 at the Leacock Presbyterian Church, Paradise. The project for the day will be yam Easter eggs. Ladies will bring a covered dish for lunch. Society 24 donated $20.00 to LARK. The Ways and Means Committee revealed plans for the Annual Spring Rummage sale to be held March 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bareville Fireball. Society 24 will be the guests of Society 8 March 26 at the home of Mary Sarver, Mt. Joy. Special feature of the meeting was decorating with cream cheese.
