Tobacco Shed Fire Probed Arson is suspected in a $lO,OOO fire which leveled a Penn Twp. tobacco shed off Sun Hill Road early Satur day. State Police Fire Marshal Trooper Robert Haycock said the shed contained no heat or electricity. Reasoning that no com bustibles were present to start the fire, Haycock suspects arson. He added Sunday, after viewing the rubble, that possibly someone was in the bam before the fire started and accidentally set the fire with a dropped cigarette. He said the shed contained two empty tobacco wagons and some com. He said owner Harold Diffenderfer, Manheim RDI, has in surance for the budding. Firemen from eight companies were called from a banquet to battle the blaze. Firemen from Master sonville, Penryn, Neffsville, East Petersburg, Elston ville, Brunnerville, Manheim and Lititz fought the flames for 45 minutes. A nearby bam also was damaged slightly, according to firemen. Water had to be pumped through four pumpers, in a line from a pond more than a mile away.
