He was vice president of the Parlimentary Procedure team which placed second in the area contest. Recently he had the honor of placing third in a regional SCS public speaking contest. Larry served as student advisor and sentinal to the Grassland FFA Chapter. He is a member of the Mar tindale Mennonite Congregation where he is an active member of the youth group. He also assumes the position of a bass guitarist for a local gospel group known as The Zimmermans. Clair Hostetter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hostetter, Columbia RD2. He also served on the summer sports committee, the Banquet Committee, and the Float Committee. On the State level Wayne won the Ag Mechanics Contest and received a silver medal in the National Ag Mechanics Contest. In county contests he was secretary of the winning Parlimentary Procedure Team. Wayne also placed in the Public Speaking Contest and the County Quiz Contest. Wayne received the chapter foundation award for Farm Mechanics. For projects he has had veal calves, guinea pigs, and steers. A member of the National Honor Society at Garden Spot High School he is also on the Varsity Rifle Team and a member of the Senior Chorus. He is also active in church work where he is currently serving as chouister at the Churchtown Mennonite Church.
