Jtily 7, r 1973 32 ASCS Reorganizes A reorganization of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) was announced recently by ASCS Administrator Kenneth E. Frick. The changes are being made to streamline the agency’s struc ture and improve its services to agricultural producers. The reorganization was ef fective June 29. The administrator said the major changes are consolidation of regions and commodity divisions and a realignment of responsibilities for the three deputy administrators who report to him and Associate Administrator Glenn A. Weir. Previously, program and management responsibilities were divided among the three deputies. Under the reorganization, each deputy will have sole responsibility in a specific area. The Deputy Ad ministrator for Programs is Area Youths Appointed to 4-H Posts Three 4-H members from southeastern Pennsylvania, who served as Leadership School delegates to Pennsylvania 4-H Leadership Congress last week were named advisors to the 1974 Congress to be held June Announcement of the selec tions, based on leadership and citizenship abilities, was made by Leland G. He identified the four new regions as East, East Central, West Central and West. The commodity divisions reporting to the Deputy Ad ministrator for Programs are Cotton, Rice and Oilseeds Division; Grain Division; Sugar Division; Tobacco and Peanut Division. Also reporting to the Deputy Administrator for Programs will be the Defense Operations Division, and The Program Operations Division, as well as two operations.
