<2B—Lancaster Farming, Saturday; June 16, 1973 Grassland Chapter Special Awards Presentations Special awards were presented to FFA members during the monthly meeting of the Grassland FFA Chapter meeting. Ray Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eh W. Martin, New Holland RDI, received the Victor F. Weaver FFA scholarship award from Allen Tate. As part of the Poultry Man of the Year requirements, Martin wrote and submitted an essay. He received a $2OO cash prize. Keystone Farmer citations were presented to five students. Receiving citations were: James Zimmerman, son of Mrs. Dorothy Zimmerman, Ephrata RD3; Lynn Groff, son of Mr. Samuel Groff, Ephrata; Robert Burkhart, son of Mr and Mrs. James Burkhart, East Earl, Delmar Weaver, son of Mr and Mrs John Weaver, New Holland RDI, and Michael Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin, New Holland RDI. The Leon M Graybill Memorial Scholarship was presented to James Zimmerman. Ray Martin was named Poultry Man of the Year at a recent Grassland FFA Chanter meeting. This award is presented for scholarship, and character, outstanding leadership, Clifford Day, FFA advisor, Dale Burkhart (right) accepts the BOAC award from Ray Martin. I♦ I ' presented the DeKalb Achievement award to Delmar Weaver, for his outstanding achievements in FFA. The BOAC award was presented to the environmental FFA Chapter. Dale Burkhart accepted the award from Chapter president Ray Martin.
