Carrot Cake
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
V* teaspoon salt
IVz cups salad oil
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 cups grated carrots
. Sift together flour, baking
powder, soda, cinnamon and salt.
Mix well salad oil, sugar, and
eggs, one at a time., Gradually
add dry ingredients. Fold in
carrots and bake at 350 degrees
about one hour.
This is a very moist cake.
Icing
4 ounces cream cheese
Vz stick butter
2 cups 10X sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
Mix all together and spread on
cake.

Meat ’n Macaroni Supper
‘/2 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons butter
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup tomatoes, cut up
Dash of pepper
Vi teaspoon thyme
1 cup elbow macaroni, cooked
and drained
1 pound hamburger
Va'cup chopped green pepper
Vi cup grated cheese
In skillet, cook onions and
hamburger in butter. Stir in the
cream of celery soup, tomatoes,
thyme and pepper. Add cooked
macaroni and green pepper. Put
in casserole. Top with grated
cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 or 40
minutes or until heated through.

Shoo-Fly Pie
1 cup molasses
1 cup hot water
1 egg
1 teaspoon soda '
Beat egg. Add molasses
Dissolve soda in hot water, add to
egg and molasses.
1 cup Hour
1 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter or
margarine
Mix and reserve V 2 cup.
Combine the two mixtures and
put into an unbaked 9-inch shell
and sprinkle reserved % cup
crumbs on top. Bake at 400
degrees for 10 minutes, then 350
degrees for 30 minutes or until
done.
