January 20 at Sunny Craft Farm, the home of the president Mrs Clarence Stauffer Devotions were led by Miss Rhoda Stauffer Mrs Clarence Stauffer was in charge of the business session A contribution of $5O was given to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation Mrs Carroll Myers and Mrs Kenneth Zim merman, delegates to the State Convention of the Society of Farm Women, reported on the highlights of the convention in Harrisburg The program consisted of vocal music by Mrs Vernon Leimnger and Mrs Carl Meek Mrs Eberly addressed the group on a variety of interesting subjects The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs Willie Stober, Adamstown Society 4 Society of Farm Women 4 will hear a talk on safety as presented by Fred Joost. a representative from PP and L at a meeting to be held Saturday January 27 at 1 30 p m at the home of Mrs Daniel Forry. Columbia R 2 Mrs Cyrus Gamble will be cohostess Mrs Richard King will lead devotions. Roll Call will feature a tip for safety Mrs E Robert Nolt, newly elected president, will be m charge Also featured on the program will be a report of the 54th annual convention of the Society of Farm Women of Pennsylvania, held in Harrisburg early in January, presented by Mrs. Paul Metzger and Mrs Paul Kauffman Other officers serving Society 4 including Mrs. Nolt, president, are Mrs Henry Reist, vice president; Mrs. Cyrus Gamble, treasurer; Mrs. Wilson Mohler, secretary: and Mrs Willis Reapsome, corresponding secretary Committees for 1973 include Mrs Richard King, Mrs. Elmer Schroll, Mrs Mary Snyder, Mrs Alvin Musser, Mrs Charles Newcomer and Mrs Robert Garber, Program, Mrs. Paul Kauffman, Mrs Daniel Will, Mrs Richard Wile, Mrs William Campbell and Mrs. Martin Greider, Special Activities, Mrs. Paul Metzger, Mrs Harold Miller and Mrs Landis Huber, Sun shine, Mrs Henry Reist, Mrs Carl Siegnst and Mrs Charles Shellenberger, Membership; Mrs John Gingrich and Mrs Paul Metzger, Scrap Book; Mrs Edwin Yeaglm and Mrs. Victor Koser, Song Leaders; Mrs Edith Musser, and Mrs. John Gingrich, Pianists, and Mrs. Carl Siegrist and Mrs. Maud Mohjer, Publicity Programs for the first quarter also include an inspirational talk by Mrs James Reapsome on February 24 at the home of Mrs. Willis Reapsome, Landisville. Mrs Henry Reist will be in charge of devotions On March 24, John Fish, Lancaster, will discuss Weathervanes during a meeting held m the home of Mrs. Richard Bryson, Landisville. Mrs. Henry Heistand and Mrs. Maud Mohler will be hostesses; Mrs Carl Siegnst will lead devotions, and a miscellaneous auction will also be featured Society 8 Farm Women’s Society No. 8 met at the home of Mrs. Irwin Ginder, Mt. Joy RD2 on January 20th at 2 p.m. The meeting was in charge of newly elected President, Miss Anna Mae Eby. Thirty four members were present Mrs. Vernon Good, 149 E Willow St, Elizabethtown, a past member, desires to attend the meetings again. Devotions were in charge of Mrs. Harold Frey Minutes were read by Miss Mary Grace Martin. Books were bought by several members to rent or sell to the group. Jennie Kittle, a member will be moving to Delaware and will not be able to meet with the group as before. A token of appreciation was presented to Mrs. Anna Mae Derr, outgoine president for her services rendered while in that office. Mrs. Sylvester Shuman gave an interesting report of the Convention at Harrisburg in January.
