Liming pays off in healthier soil, better crops, stronger and more productive animals. In fact, it has been estimated that each $1 in vested in limestone returns from $3 to $lO in bigger and better yields. Baker’s agricultural limestone pays off best because it does more. It sweetens soil to reduce acidity and raise pH level, and it also adds vital magnesium. Both are important to make sure thatyour crops can make full use of the fertilizers you apply. Take care of your land, and your land will take care of you. Choose the brand of Baker’s agricultural limestone that meets your needs. Baker Co, Call collect—(7l7) 354-4202 Lancaster Farming, Saturday, October 28,1972 flocks produce eggs relatively uniform in weight and quality, making it feasible to provide sample grading of nest run eggs. Such sample grading, based on the new standard, will make it possible to trade eggs based on size and quality without the time and expense of an initial grading and packaging followed by another grading prior to final sale. As with all services provided in USDA’s Federal-State egg grading program, sample grading of nest run eggs will be voluntary and paid for by the user. The new standard was proposed Sept. 15 (USDA Press Release 3045-72) and details were published in the Federal Register Sept. 19. Comments were invited from all interested persons. The standards, which will be published soon in the Federal Register, will become effective Nov. 1.
