To be eligible for participation m the program, the farmer must meet each of four cnterias: 1. His feed supplies are in sufficient. 2 A serious loss of feed was suffered because of flood or drought. 3. Purchases of feed sub stantially larger than usual are necessary. 4 It would cause an undue 4-H Dairy Banquet The annual Lancaster County 4-H dairy Banquet will be “held Friday evening, November 3 at the Good ’n Plenty Restaurant on Route 896. This annual banquet will feature the recognition of 4-H dairy club members who have had outstanding achievement throughout the past year Banquet tickets are available from all 4-H dairy leaders in the County at the price of $3 50 per person All tickets must be purchased prior to October 30 All County 4-H dairy club members along with their families and friends are en couraged to attend The Ayr shire, Jersey, Brown Swiss Club is this years banquet host Approved financial hardship for him to obtain sufficient feed through normal trade channels. Only the owner of the livestock is eligible to apply. All livestock must have been owned at least six months or have been pur chased as replacement breeding stock. Those eligible will be able to purchase corn at $33.20 per ton and oats at $30.00 per ton for primary livestock. This includes dairy cows two years old or more, other cows and bulls for breeding replacement yearlings and calves, sheep and goats for breeding and replacement lambs and kids. They may also purchase corn at $46.40 per ton and oats at $40.00 per ton for secondary livestock. These are other cattle two years old or more, all other yearlings, calves, sheep, goats and lambs, sows and hogs on full grain ration, other swine and mules and horses raised for work. Farmers who do not have enough feed because of weather conditions, should file application at the ASCS office.
