The owner of a farm market near Millersville, Funk has been active in conservation work most of his life He served as chairman of the Lancaster County Soil and Water Conservation District for 17 '-ears and vas president of the siate organisation in 1963 A State vlaster Farmer in 1966, he has served on agricultural committees foi governors Scranton and Shafer He is a member ot the Pennsylvania State University Advisory Council the Pennsylvania Soil and Water Conser vation Committee and is a director of the Lancaster County Soil and Water Commission District Funk was presented an engraved plaque in Wilkes-Barre Wednesday at the annual meeting of the state conservation organization At the same convention, Aaron Stauffer, Ephrata Rl, chairman of the county conservation district, was reelected president of the state association.
