The muddy waters carried off the big barn door, the pumphouse and many trees. It raged across the garden and corn field and took all the topsoil otf a recently plowed field. However, it wasn’t until it covered the cement walk around our house and poured into the new milkhouse and milkparlor that we really began to worry It was interesting to see what was carried upstairs first. Extension health specialist Charles Crawford with Penn sylvania State University, says there are basically three causes for the hundreds of different disorders called birth defects. Birth defects can be inherited from either or both parents. Environmental factors during pregnancy can be a cause. .Among these may be drugs, poor nutrition, X-rays, virus, and other infections.
