Chester County Extension Hosts New Fabrics Workshop Chester County Homemakers Day will be held from 10:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at Kimberton Fire Hall, the Chester County Extension Service an nounced. Included on the program will be Mrs. Catherine Lanham Miller, “How to Be a Lady Book maker”. Mrs. Miller is the author of “How to Say Yes to Life, A Woman’s Guide to Beating the Blahs”. She has authored many articles for women’s magazines. Miss Davida McCartney will report on “Home Life in Brazil”. Miss McCartney has just returned from her IFYE ex perience in Brazil where she lived with a Japanese family operating a truck farm. Pomona Grange Announces Spring Meeting Plans Lancaster County Pomona Grange 71 will hold its spring meeting at White Horse Fire Hall at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 15, with Salisbury Grange 1685 host. April being Youth Month in the Grange, the young people will fill officers’ chairs for opening and closing the meeting The program in charge of Mrs. Jesse Wood, lecturer, will feature youth. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huber, West Chester, chairmen of the Mrs Knight gave the history of square dancing The following took part in a Virginia Reel Mr and Mrs Richard Holloway, Mr and Mrs James Huber, Mr. and Mrs Clifford Holloway Jr., Mr and Mrs David Knight, Mr and Mrs Charles McSparran, Mr. and Mrs J Everett Kreider, Arba Henry, Robert Reath, Lloyd and Leßoy Welk, Misses Peggy Jackson, Joyce Galbreath, Donna Welk and Peggy Galbreath Mrs Ambrose Giffing provided the music. A ritual baseball game was conducted by Mrs Knight with nine men and nine women taking part The men were winners Third and fourth degrees will be given at the next meeting April 24 and the women’s ac tivities committee will be in charge of the annual sewing contest Fulton Junior Grange 343, m charge of Mrs J. Stanley Stauffer Jr and Mrs Alfred Overly, met. Their next meeting will be May 8 and they will conduct a paper drive.
