Five 4-H teen leaders from Lancaster
County attended the 4-H Teen Agricultural
Leadership Conference at Washington,
D.C. last week. The Lancaster County

monwealth, including five from
Lancaster County, took part in
the Northeast States Invitational
4-H Teen Agricultural Leader
ship Conference, last week in
Washington, D.C.
Those attending from Lan
caster County were: Mike Grube,
Elm; Linda Witmer, Willow
Street; Mike Peifer, Manheim;
Roxanne Stein, Mountville; Don
Thomas, Millersville.
The conference, held in the
National 4-H Center, was
designed to explore career op
portunities in agribusiness,

The AJQHA will hold its first
National Finals Show and third
annual convention in Amarillo,
Texas August 9 to 12. More than
600 invited entries will compete
for $25,000 in awards.

Twin Valley Young Farm
Tour Dairy Facility
A special meeting of the Twin
Valley Young Farmers
association was held last week at
the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Brubaker Sr, Elverson RD2.
Members toured the Brubaker
dairy set-up including the
herringbone milking parlor, free
stall dairy bam which has been in
use about eight years, the newly
remodeled free-stall heifer bam,
and the feed storage facilities.
