Cows 1.00-1.50 higher. Bulls firm. Feeder cattle weak to 50c lower, the supply mainly fleshy two-way steers. Four day receipts 17,300 as compared 14,900 previous week and 19,600 a year ago. Slaughter steers approximately 43 per cent, heifers 39 per cent, predominance Good to Average- Choice. Cows nine per cent and feeders seven per cent. Fed cattle trade pretty much resembled a carbon copy of the previous week. Prices beat downward on the initial session under the unpact of a bearish carcass trade and only a slight recovery was made in later trading. However, this marked the first time since last October that the weekly trend was lower for two suc cessive weeks. Best demand centered on available supply Choice steers and hiefers but feeder buyers fairly aggressive for fleshy two-way steers.
