This group of five eighth grade members
of the Ephrata Junior High School Ag Club
who travelled to Tioga County last
weekend are: left to right, Dennis Martin,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Martin,
Ephrata RDI; Kerry Boyd, son of Elmer
Boyd, Ephrata RDI; Calvin Sauder, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Christian Sauder, Ephrata
RD2; Merle Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Elvin Martin, Lititz RD4, and Leon R.
Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Lloyd Martin,
Lititz RDI.

here after clearing more than an acre of
ground in Tioga County game lands 10
miles northeast of Wellsboro. Trees were
cut to provide browse area for deer. The
project was conducted in cooperation with
Dave Brown, game lands manager of Tioga
County.
The group also toured the Raymond
Butters dairy farm near Morris. Butters
was the 1970 Outstanding Young Farmer
of Pennsylvania, the award that Clarence L.
Keener, Manheim RDI, received in 1971.
The group, under the supervision of
Charles Ackley, ag advisor, also toured the
Pennsylvania Grand Canyon-
