Trees were cut to provide browse area for deer. The project was conducted in cooperation with Dave Brown, game lands manager of Tioga County. The group also toured the Raymond Butters dairy farm near Morris. Butters was the 1970 Outstanding Young Farmer of Pennsylvania, the award that Clarence L. Keener, Manheim RDI, received in 1971.
