Farm Women Societies Society 14 Farm Women Society 14 met at Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Wed nesday with Mrs. Jay Oberholtzer presenting an illustrated talk on flower arranging. Following the program, a short business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Leon Thomas. Serving as hostesses for the meeting were Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Howard Combs, Mrs. Edwin Rohrer and Mrs. Ira Herr. The next meeting of the group will be a Christmas banquet at 6:30 p.m. December 8 at People’s Restaurant, New Holland. Program for the evening will be an armchair tour of the Holy Land and the Carribean. Society 20 Farm Women Society 20 held their November meeting at the home of Mrs. William Crawford, Kirkwood. Mrs. Charles An derson was cohostess. The president, Mrs. Elam Hess, called the meeting to order. Devotions were given by Mrs. Crawford. There will be an all-day cancer sewing party and year book makeup at the home of Mrs. Joseph Best, Holtwood, on November 17. The Society will sponsor a contestant at the Miss Solanco Pagent November 27. The Society voted donations to the Needlework Guild and Christmas Seals. The officers for 1972 are: Mrs. Joseph Best, president; Mrs. John Ferguson, vice president; Mrs. Marshall Rmtz, secretary, and Mrs. William Herr, treasurer. Entertainment for the af ternoon was a presentation of highlights of a recent trip to Europe by Mrs. Joseph Best. The next meeting will be an evening meeting at the home of Mrs. Glenn Ressel, Quarryville, at 7:30 p.m. December 2. Society 22 The Farm Women Society 22 met recently in the home of Mrs. Ralph Martin, 391 Myer Ten-ace, Leola, with Mrs. Paul Witmer serving as cohostess. During the business meeting the group voted to give a con tribution to Toys for Tots and that they will have a bazaar table at Homemakers Day to be held at the Farm and Home Center on Tuesday, Dec. 7. Mrs. Robert Houser, of 436 Beaver Valley Pike, was in stalled as a new member at the October meeting. The society will entertain their husbands at the 20th Anniversary party at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at Meadow Hills. Guests of Conestoga View will be entertained by the Society on Nov. 18. The Christmas meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Funk, Lancaster RD6, with Mrs. Zook serving as co-hostess. All members will bring a gift for exchange.
