He further recommended these positions become full time jobs with adequate staff in order to make state government sound, responsible and sensitive ,to the people. “The Image of Leadership” was the theme of the Retreaf held at the Brandywine YMCA Camp, September 24-26. 53 4-H Teens from Chester and Delaware Counties participated in this leadership training conference. W. Hosea Latshaw, President of Chester County 4-H Council, welcomed the group to the Retreat. He challenged the group to become involved and be a “man with a mission.” Carol Rothermel, assistant Chester County Ex tension home economist, with the aide of several 4-H’ers, discussed “Etiquette for Leaders” while John Schwartz, assistant Chester County agricultural agent, outlined helpful leadership hints to the group Charles Wollaston, 4-H Club Leader from Toughkenamon, lead the members in mixers and square dancing. Pam Taws, Paoli, and Beth Hutchison, West Grove, served as recreation and song leaders respectively for the group.
