Special Fed Cattle Sale at Fanquier Soybean Meeting Slated An educational meeting on soybeans has been set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 28 at the Southeast Fields Laboratory of the Pennsylvania State University at Landisville. Featuring the results of soybean variety trials this year at the research farm, the meeting will also involve discussions and observations in the field in volving production practices. Local othciais had previously reported that several Lancaster County farmers are growing soybeans for the first time this year. Among those present will be; Dr. Richard Cole, Penn State University crops research agronomist, and John Yocum, research farms superintendent and agronomist. Research farm is located about two miles northeast of Lan disville. Those traveling by route 283 should exit at the Salunga- Landisville exit, go east a half mile to Shenk Road, over 'a covered bridge, to the entrance near the creek.
