Ida’s Notebook I’ve been pondering about the behind the-scene jobs which many of us do. They take so much time in our homes and away from them. Even little things like buttons that magically get back on a dress or shirt and those dirty clothes that appear clean and folded in drawers. Does anyone tnmK about how this gets done except the person who does it? The other week one of our church members was surprised to see us washing and drying 300 communion cups in the church kitchen. She had never thought of the hours we give to fill them and prepare for a quiet, dignified and seemingly ef fortless Sunday service. I’m finishing my year as a vice presi dent of our Home and School Association. This job has entail- semng them at mee tings. Surely many folks are working to make my life more pleasant and I don’t even notice it. Dairy farms are continually being checked over and inspect ed and told to buy new equip ment. Many years ago at a farm man agement meeting, a farm wife spoke up and said, “I think we should have kitchen inspection.” Maybe this would give women some new appliances, too. Anyway, this statement has stuck with me over the years, as it does seem to have some merit. BRAMCO. That’s why Purina is introducing Purina Complete Sow Chow (CF) and Purina Sow Chow (CF). Here are a few facts about these two Purina Sow Chows; PURINA COMPLETE SOW CHOW (CF) is an 18% protein com plete ration designed for feeding at the 3 to 4 lb. level to each sow daily during gestation. Purina Complete Sow Chow (CF) is high in nutrients . . . but low in energy. PURINA SOW CHOW (CF) is a 36% protein ration to be mixed 1:2 with grain during gestation and 1:5 during lactation. This ration is high in nutrients and low in energy . . . exactly as confined sows need it. See if these products fit your operation and help your sows hold condition in confinement. John J.
