Ph. 397-3539 Eastern Holds Local Meeting About 150 dairy farmers from Lancaster County attended the Eastern Milk Producers spon sored informational meeting at the Bird-in-Hand Restamant February 5. The main speaker was John C. York, Eastern general man ager, who gave an up-to-date re port on problems prevalent in the dairy industry in the North eastern U.S. York emphasized milk market ing, drop in producer numbers. Class 1 and Class II prices of milk in both the New York-New Jersey Milk Orders, and the Middle Atlantic Order involving the Philadelphia - Lancaster Area. The afternoon consisted of a question and answer period. Panelists were Alfred Wanner, Eastern director in District 8, Narvon, who was chairman of the meeting; Bill Hibbs, Eastern regional marketing representa tive, southern region, Lisle Dut ton, Eastern public relations director, and York.
