Spray Program There are many changes in the chemical spray program this year and all farmers and gard eners aie urged to keep alert for pesticides not to be used. At the moment DDT is the “black sheep” on the chemical list and is not to be used Also, we are informed that the herbicide, 2,4,- 5-T, is not to be used this year. Aldnn, dieldnn, and heptachlor are banned on all feed and food ci ops Many of these materials will be replaced in the spray schedule by those less persistent pesticides such as methoxychlor, malathion, and carbaryl (Sevin). Some of these may not be as effective, but are to be used be cause they are safer and more satisfactory for use in the home gardens and by the average per son Che Bible —— Give us this day our daily bread. — (Matt. 6:11). Wherever we live, to be suc cessful we must make the most of our own abilities, talents and energy. Prosperity is more than money, investments, prop erty, education, title position, personal power. It may include all these, but prosperity is the result of our creative produc tivity. In praying for prosper ity, pray as Jesus prayed, “Our Father... give us this day our daily bread”
