A letter of invitation to go with the group by bus to Penn State for the day was sent to livestock, producers this week by County Agent M. M. Smith. The cost will be $5.00 pet - per son for the bus transportation round trip and lunch will be furnished free at noon from the Meats Laboratory. The bus will meet the group at the Lancaster Shopping Cen ter at 6:30 a.m. and should ar rive home between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Reservations must be, made with Smith at his Farm and Home Center Office, 1333 Arcadia Road, no later than Tuesday, July 22. The Field Day is for all four species of livestock beef cat tle, swine, sheep, and horses. The morning program starts at 10:00 A.M. with a separate pro gram for each type of livestock at different locations. The noon lunch will be tor all persons at one place followed by a brief speaking program. A sheep dog driving demonstration will be given during the noon hour to add variety to the program. Brief tours of the Deer Re search Center Soil and For age Testing Lab Breeding Re search Center and the Haller Research Farm will inform of some things being done at our State University. For the benefit of any foot ball fans the color movie, “The Year Of The Lion” will be shown during the afternoon; this picture includes the high lights of the 1968 Penn State’s winning football season.
