We will sell 1 trailer load of 20-25 top springing and fresh
cows and heifers from Mr. James Carter of Ontario, Canada.
Mr. John W. Bailey will sell one load of cows that are fresh
or close springing.
Ten top first calf Wisconsin heifers will be sold that will
freshen within 30 days.
Twenty additional head from one consignor will be sold.
These are 2nd and 3rd calf cows most of which will freshen in
July.
Ten first calf heifers from a Balto. Co. farm will be sold.
Majority will have calves at their side.
Plus other consignments.
If you are looking for additional cows for average months,
plan to attend this sale.
Freshening dates, breeding dates, due dates and milk weights
will be available at sale time. All cattle are T. B. Accredited and

Farmers Warned On
Fed Cattle Weights

man has called attention to the
fact that marketing weights of
fed cattle recently have started
to move above levels of a year
ago.
The Secretary warned that
this trend could hurt fed cattle
prices, which have been higher
than a year earlier all through
1968.
He said one of the main rea
sons for the stronger price has
been the good judgment shown
by cattle feeders in the orderly
marketing of their cattle as they
reached proper finish for their
grade.
He noted that average weights
of fed steers sold by farmers the
first three weeks of June ranged
from 6 to 16 pounds heavier
than a year earlier.

not succumb to the temptation
to hold back cattle in the feed-
